Ad policy
There are no ads on this site today.
If the Navigator ever carries advertising, it will be under the rules below, which were written and published before any ad existed so that nobody has to take our word for it later. The decision to run ads at all is made only once the site has enough visitors for a screened network, and only if what parents support directly does not cover the costs shown on the methodology page.
- Where
- Parent guides and state or league pages only. Never on a club page, the search page, the compare page, the calculator, or anywhere a fee table or an estimate sits.
- How many
- At most two units on a page, in slots with fixed heights so the page never jumps while it loads.
- What kind
- Standard display units from a managed network that screens advertisers. No sticky or anchor bars, no video, no interstitials, no pop-unders, nothing that plays sound or covers content.
- Who is blocked
- Gambling, alcohol, weight-loss, and political advertising, plus anything the network flags as misleading.
- Speed
- Units load lazily below the fold. Core Web Vitals are measured monthly, and if ads make the site measurably slower for parents they are turned off until fixed.
- The off switch
- One setting turns every unit off in a single redeploy. The site does not depend on ads to stay up.
- Disclosure
- Under every unit: “Ads keep this free. Clubs cannot buy them.”
- Supporters
- Parents who support the Navigator see no ads.
Two things no ad can change. Clubs, leagues and academies cannot buy an ad, a listing, a badge, or a better description, ever. And no advertiser or partner is an input to how a fee is checked or an estimate is calculated. The numbers are the same whether an ad is on the page or not.

Clubs cannot pay us. Ever.
No club, league, or academy can buy a listing, a badge, a better position, or a softer number on this site. Not now, not later. The people who can support the Navigator are the parents who use it.
