How we collect, verify, and estimate youth soccer costs — and why transparency matters to us.
Our Mission
Youth soccer costs are confusing. Published dues are often just the starting point — travel, tournaments, uniforms, and other expenses can double the real annual cost. We believe parents deserve clear, transparent information to plan their family's soccer budget.
At the same time, we believe clubs deserve fair, accurate representation. That's why we clearly separate published facts from our estimates, link to original sources, and give clubs a way to claim their page and correct information directly.
Two types of data — always clearly separated
Every club page shows two distinct kinds of cost information. We never mix them.
Published Fees
Specific fee amounts that clubs post publicly on their websites, fee schedules, and tryout materials. We link to the original source and show when we last verified it.
These may not reflect current pricing. Always confirm with the club.
Estimated Annual Cost
A modeled range that estimates what a family might spend in a year, including costs beyond published club dues. This is a planning tool created by PitchDreams, not a quote from the club.
Shown as a range, never a single number. Never a guarantee.
Where our data comes from
- Club websites and fee schedules — We review publicly posted fee pages, PDF documents, and tryout packets. We only use information that clubs have made publicly available.
- Parent and community reports — Parents who have paid these fees can submit their real costs. Community-reported data is clearly labeled and verified before being promoted.
- Club administrators — Club admins can claim their page and provide or correct fee information directly. Club-confirmed data carries the highest trust badge.
How we estimate total annual cost
Published club dues are typically only 40–60% of what families actually spend. Our estimated total accounts for additional categories:

Not included in our estimate: optional private training, college showcase camps, specialized position training, and miscellaneous team expenses. These can add $500–$3,000+ per year.
Regional cost differences
Youth soccer costs vary significantly by region. We apply regional modifiers to our travel and tournament estimates based on local cost of living, hotel rates, and typical travel distances.
For example, travel costs for a Northeast club are estimated ~30% higher than the national baseline, reflecting higher hotel and gas costs in the region.
How we verify data
Every data point carries a verification status so you can judge its reliability:
- Club Confirmed — The club administrator has claimed their page and verified this data directly. This is the highest level of trust.
- Verified — Our team has reviewed the published source and confirmed accuracy.
- Community Reported — Submitted by parents or sourced from community forums. Pending full verification.
- Unverified — Extracted from a source but not yet reviewed by our team.
Keeping data fresh
Club fees change every season. We re-check sources regularly and display the “last verified” date on every data point. Data older than 12 months is flagged as potentially stale.
If you notice outdated information, please let us know. If you represent a club, claim your page for the fastest path to updated, verified data.
For Club Administrators
We built this tool to help parents — and we know that accurate data helps clubs too. Parents who understand your real costs are better prepared and more likely to commit. Here's how we work with clubs:
- We only use publicly available information. We never scrape behind login walls or publish private data.
- You can claim your page for free. Claim your club to verify information, add a “Club Confirmed” badge, and link to your registration page.
- We correct errors quickly. Email us at support@pitchdreams.com and we'll update or remove information within 48 hours.
- We clearly label estimates vs. published data. Our modeled estimates are always shown separately from your published fees and are clearly marked as PitchDreams estimates, not club quotes.
Limitations & Disclaimers
- • Our estimates are ranges, not precise predictions. Your actual cost will depend on your specific team, schedule, and choices.
- • Not all clubs publish their fees publicly. For those clubs, we rely on community reports and may have less data.
- • We do not evaluate coaching quality, team competitiveness, or player development outcomes. Cost is only one factor in choosing a club.
- • We are not affiliated with any club or league. We are an independent resource for parents.
- • Published fees may be outdated. Always confirm with the club directly before making financial commitments.
